Ag+ is an element that is known for its antimicrobial properties. It inhibits 99% of microbial growth while neutralizing odor-causing bacteria.

The masklab™ BI-ION mask is made up of 3 layers: Outer & Inner layer are made of soft, breathable Ag+ polyester, middle filter layer is made of certified washable melt-blown filter.

To ensure optimal performance and effectiveness of the reusable mask, we highly recommend washing it a total of 5 times over the course of 14 days, with a gap of 2-3 days in between each wash. It is important to note that the suggested 14-day period is based on maintaining a 99% bacterial filtration rate as per our testing. Beyond the recommended 14 days, the filtration rate of the mask may decrease and it may not be as effective in protection.

Recommended use: no more than 14 days
Soak mask in warm water and neutral soap. Lightly shake to rinse. Air dry, do not wring dry.
Machine Washable.
Do not bleach. Do not iron.

I love the BI-ION cloth masks. Since they're washable & reusable (per the website's instructions), they're more environmentally friendly than disposable masks. But even beyond that, the cloth feels soft on my face, and I love that they come with the adjustable ear loop pieces. These make the masks a better fit for me, and therefore more protective. And like the other disposable masks I've tried from MaskLab, they fit the bill THE BEST of all the masks I've tried over these Covid years: (1) comfortable!, (2) breathable!, and (3) highly protective! A friend told me about MaskLab and I haven't looked back.

This is an attractive and protective mask. I love that it's reusable and washable: makes it more cost effective. Overall, I am loving all the Masklab masks. They are highly protective masks that are also very breathable and comfortable. I can wear for several hours and feel fine. I can also wear to a meeting where I need to talk and I can talk through the mask without a problem (unlike the Chinese N95s, which are uncomfortable and hard to talk through). I love this mask. As a psychotherapist, I meet with clients in person and need to keep it on all day (and be able to talk through the mask easily) and have found this to be the most comfortable mask. Like the mask. Would prefer to purchase one carrying pouch and re use it over and over. And then purchase new masks individually. Don't like buying a mask and pouch together for obvious reasons.... the added cost. The mask fits well, hope it's tight enough for an airplane trip.

This is for the grey one. It's nice. Lightweight. One side, however - the right side - seems a bit 'skewed', a little shifty, but still wearable. Like the carry pouch (though don't really use it; still nice.) Haven't tried the denim one yet.
